iPhone 16 series is expected to launch this September, and recent leaks provide a closer look at the redesigned base model. Sonny Dickson has shared an image revealing the iPhone 16 in five vibrant colors—white, black, blue, green, and pink—showing a significant shift from the more subdued hues of the iPhone 15. The new design also features a glossy back and a vertical camera alignment.

The leaked images reveal that the iPhone 16 will include a power button and a new Capture button on the right side. The Capture button, a mechanical button with a capacitive surface, allows for swiping gestures to control zoom. This button is positioned where the mmWave antenna is located on US iPhone models.

In addition to the redesigned base model, all iPhone 16 series devices are expected to feature the new Action button, which will replace the traditional mute switch. The base iPhone 16 will likely sport a 6.1-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate. Thinner bezels are anticipated to enhance the display's appearance.

The iPhone 16 series will be powered by the Apple A18 chipset. The Pro models will feature the A18 Pro version, while the base model will use the standard A18 chip. The iPhone 16 is also rumored to come with a 3,561 mAh battery, a 6% increase over the iPhone 15's battery capacity.

The new fleet, built on Geely Zeekr electric minivans, represents a significant shift from the previous Jaguar I-PACE SUVs, incorporating design elements aimed at enhancing accessibility.
